I am a self-taught in the art of lampworked glass. The word lampwork is confusing unless you understand that early lampworking was done in the flame of an oil lamp, with the artist blowing air into the flame through a pipe or using foot-powered bellows.
Now we have propane and oxygen cylinders and torches with adjustable flame types and quiet operation.
Glass is a captivating medium. I love the glow of the material, the shaping and layering of colour and pattern possible is endless.

I primarily use Instagram as it is a visual library where you can easily scroll to see past, new works and process insights.
